Dutta’s Umrao Jaan has been scheduled for release on October 20 which is the same time that Don and Dhoom 2 are scheduled to be released. Umrao Jaan stars Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai and is directed by J.P. Dutta. Don stars Shahrukh Khan (SRK) and Priyanka Chopra . Dhoom 2 stars Abhishek Bachchan and Bipasha Basu .
	Shahrukh Khan To Coach A Female Football(Soccer) Team Date: 07/06/2006 Shahrukh Khan (SRK) will coach a female football(soccer) team in Chak De India . The movie is being directed by Shimit Amin and will release in 2007 and being produced by Yash Raj Films.

	Off Again, On Again Date: 06/28/2006 It was reported a couple of months ago that Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan were no longer going out together but recently the two made a couple of public appearances together in Chennai where they are shooting for Mani Ratnam's Guru . They were seen together at the cancer ward of a local hospital where they spent time with the children. They were also spotted together in a cinemas in Chennai, where they watched Mission Impossible 3 and X-Men III back-to-back. The couple were also spotted partying at a nightclub and dancing to their hit song from Bunty Aur Babli , Kajra Re.
	Urmila in Ramu's Badla Date: 06/28/2006 Rangeela girl Urmila Matondkar has been confirmed by Ram Gopal Varma to star in his next film Badla , which he plans to start shooting before undertaking his remake of Sholay . Urmila Matondkar has also been assigned to play an item number in the remake of Sholay . 	Krrish To Be Released On June 23, 2006 Date: 06/21/2006 The follow on to Rakesh Roshan's Koi... Mil Gaya, Krrish will be release world wide this weekend. The film marks the return of Hrithik Roshan with his dad Rakesh Roshan. The film also stars Priyanka Chopra and the music is provided by music composer Rajesh Roshan, brother of Rakesh Roshan. The film was premiered in Singapore Tuesday, where most of the shooting was also done. Will this mark Bollywood entrance into film that have heroes like Superman or Spiderman ? Priyanka Chopra is playing the role of a STAR News journalist. Naseeruddin Shah will be seen in a negative role in the sci-fi thriller.

Ajay Devgan and Kareena Kapoor love scene in Vishal Bharadwaj's Omkara is a much talked about topic. The film is scheduled for release this Friday July 28, 2006. The love scene, which occurs as a part of a montage for the song O sathi re, is about three-four minute long between Ajay and Kareena and has been shot very aesthetically by Bharadwaj. The movie, based on Shakespeare's Othello, the protagonist suffers from an inferiority complex due to the beauty of his lover and hence the director wanted someone who looked beautiful even without makeup, and found Kareena to fit the bill perfectly. Kareen plays Dolly, a Brahmin girl who leaves her family for Ajay, a half-Brahmin and the chieftain of outlaws.

Dhoom 2 release pushed to Nov 24, 2006 instead of being released during Diwali week. The director Aditya Chopra requires more time to finish the final touches on the film. Currently the cast of Dhoom 2 is still on location in foreign destination and hence rushing the finish would not the best choice. International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) event has officially begun in Dubai from 14 June and will continue till 17 June. IIFA awards which are deemed as the Indian equivalent of Oscars will showcase 32 Indian feature films including sixteen Hindi films, fourteen south Indian films, one Bengali, one Marathi and six short films. The IIFA awards were started back in 2000 and it was first held in London. Since then it has been held twice in South Africa and once in Malaysia, Singapore and the Netherlands and now in Dubai.

Blasts on Mumbai local commuter trains and stations in the Indian financial capital of Mumbai (Bombay). The explosions occurred at packed railway stations in the Matunga, Khar, Santacruz, Jogeshwari, Borivali and Bhayendar. The explosions brought back memories of the March 1993 serial blasts that left over 250 people dead.

IBM plans to triple investment in India over the next three years to $6 billion to take advantage of the country's lower-cost labor and diverse engineering skills. Sony introduced Bluetooth Car Stereo model MEX-BT5000. MEX-BT5000 uses wireless Bluetooth® technology to connect to cellular phones and other devices, including portable music players that have Bluetooth connectivity. The MEX-BT5000 car stereo supports multiple codecs, including MP3, WMA and ATRAC® as well as audio CDs.
Sony also introduced Hard Disk Drive Camcorders with 60GB and 30GB capacity. The new camcorders will make it eaiser to capture the moments as it happens and then using the Handycam Station make it easy to transfer to the PC and/or watch on TV. 60GB DCR-SR80 model priced for about $800, 30GB DCR-SR60 for about $700 and 30GB DCR-SR40 model priced for about $600.
Sony introduces the First Blu-ray Disc Drive Burner. Model BWU-100A supports 50 GB of data on BD-R (write once) or BD-RE (rewritable) discs or up to four hours of high-definition video using HDV 1080i on a BD-RE 50GB disc. The drive will be available in August for about $750.
