Ghajini To Release In 23 Countries On December 25
The much awaited Aamir Khan starring movie Ghajini (2008) is all set to release December 25 in 23 countries simultaneously. The movie is a ramake of a Tamil language film which had great Box office success. The Tamil version starred Asin Thottumkal for which she won Best Actress Award at the South India Filmfare Awards. Asin now will also been seen in the Bollywood version opposite Aamir Khan. Aamir has worked out with a trainer to get his body in shape and will showcase his six pack in the movie. The movie will simultaneously release in Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Hong Kong, Norway, Netherlands, New Zealand, South Africa, Singapore, UAE, US and Canada.
Asin Thottumkal New Face For Tata Sky
TataSky, Direct to Home operator, announced that South Indian actor and Asin Thottumkal would be its brand ambassador. Asin will make her Bollywood debut next week in Ghajini (2008) . Ghajini also stars Aamir Khan and is a remake of a Tamil film of the same name. The movie has also been compared to Hollywood film Momento directed by Christopher Nolan. As an brand ambassador Asin will be featured in Tata Sky brand and product communication including advertisements on TV, print, radio and other mediums. TataSky has already previously signed Aamir Khan earlier July this year.
Jiah Khan Going To Acting School?
It well known that Bollywood star Kangna Ranaut and Jiah Khan are not the best of friends. During a recent interview with Kangana Ranaut, she was asked if she missed out working with Aamir Khan , and to that she replied with sometimes like its destiny but at least I wasn't sent to acting classes by Aamir. This in reference to recent news that Aamir Khan has asked Jiah to attend acting classes before her shooting for the film, Ghajini (2008) , began. Kangana Ranaut was the first choice for Aamir to play the role opposite him in Ghajini, but Kangana leaked out the news before the formal announcement was made, which annoyed Aamir and she was out of the film and replaced with Jiah Khan. The film will also have Asin Thottumkal and Jiah, plays a medical student, playing opposite Aamir. Asin had also acted in the same part in the original Tamil version of the movie.
Aamir Khan In Tears At Award Ceremony
Recently at the 11th Gollapudi Srinivas Award function at the Kamaraj Arangam, Chennai Aamir Khan was awarded the award for the Best Debutant Director for Taare Zameen Par (2008) , along with a check for Rs 1.5 lakh. Known for his generosity, Aamir immediately handed the check over to the MGR Film Institute in Chennai as a gift. Earlier in the ceremony Aamir came to tears after hearing the speech from doyen of Tamil cinema K Balachander saying good things about the up and coming director, Ammir Khan.
TV show Dus Ka Dum is going all out with celebrity guests. First cricketer Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh came on the show, then just last week it was Aamir Khan and Imran Khan to promote their upcoming movie, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na (2008) and now news has it that king khan, Shahrukh Khan will be coming on the show as a guest whom himself is a host of a game show, Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain which has received competition from Salman Khan 's Dus Ka Dum.
Aamir Khan Hurt While Shooting For Ghajini
Aamir Khan Aamir Khan was hurt on the set of is upcoming movie Ghajini (2008) while shooting a fightling scene for the movie. The incident involved him lifting a person and throwing him into the wall, but when Aamir limited the person his hamstring muscle tore up. He was rushed to a local nursing home and received medication. Aamir will now be resting until going back to finish the shooting for Ghajini (2008) . Now Aamir will use the rest and maybe finish up on the post production of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na (2008) Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na.
