Deepika was choosen from reader reaction, industry feedback along with other factors. Deepika joins ikes of previous no 1's Lindsay Lohan, , Eva Longoria, , Marissa Miller, who have topped the list. Deepika Padukone is also a new comer to the Indian film inductry with her debut film last year Om Shanti Om (2007) and second movie will be Bachna Ae Haseenon (2008) is due for release Aug 15.
