The trading in the New Year started off slow but positive and by the early afternoon the Dow was up more than 100 points, and by the end of the day the market was up more than Dow 250 points.

Dows 8,776.39 up 108.00 (1.25%), Nasdaq 1,577.03 up 26.33 (1.70%), SandP500 903.25 up 12.61 (1.42%).

The market started the day off in positive territory and in the early afternoon the Dow was up more than 100 points, and by the end of the day the market closed more than 1% higher.
