Kim Sharma will be the next Bollywood film actress to be on the cover of Maxim India . Kim will be featured on the January 2008 cover of 2nd Anniversay Mega Issue of Maxim Magazine with many other picture within the magazine. Kim will join other Bollywood stars who have already made there presence in Maxim India, and they include such stars as Malaika Arora Khan , Celina Jaitley , Mallika Sherawat , Amisha Patel Shilpa Shetty , Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra .

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has joined Rockband Strings and Parikrama for a four city rock concert tour. The rock concert tour will kickoff in Bangalore (Jan 18), with shows Mumbai (Jan 20), Kolkata (Jan 25), and Delhi (Jan 27) to follow. Saif is a trained piano player, and can play lead guitar. He has a passion for music from Led Zepplin to Parikrama.

Aishwarya Rai has been signed to appear in the most expensive French film of Asterix and Obelix series, titled Asterix at the Olympic Games with a budget of 93 million dollars. The role being played by Ash is written for her and will also mark the first time a female characters will be in the film. Others that will be in the movie include Gerard Depardieu, Clovis Cornillac, Michael Schumacher, Jean Claude Van Damme and more. Aish other international project currently include The Pink Panther Deux (2009) opposite Steve Martin.

Salman Khan left India to go to London for the unveiling of a wax replica statue of himself that will be displayed at the Madame Tussad museum in London, UK. He left along with his family and his girlfriend Katrina Kaif for the unveiling. His statue will be placed in the new Bollywood area along with Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan , Aishwarya Rai and Shahrukh Khan .

Today at the annual Macworld Expo, Apple Inc's Chief Executive Steve Jobs introduced a Ultralight MacBook called MacBook Air. The MacBook Air is 0.76 inch thick at its widest point and comes with 1.6 or 1.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB of RAM, and an 80GB hard drive and just one USB port with prices to start at $1,799. He also announced that iTunes will allow users to download movies from all major studios for a charge of $3.99 for new releases and $2.99 for old titles. Once downloaded the movies can be watched on iPod/iPhone and your PC, the movies are valid for 30 days to start watching once downloaded and 24 hours after that to finish.

BSNL, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd, is a state owned telecom company in India. BSNL is pronding thoughts of an IPO at around 10% stake in the company which is valued at around $10 billion (Rs 40,000 crore) for later this year. The company is currently valued at $100 billion (Rs 400,000 crore).

Sania Mirza and her doubles Australian partner Alicia Molik beat Eleni Daniilidou and Jasmin Woehr 6-3 4-6 6-4 to advance to the second round. Rohan Bopanna and his doubles partner Rajeev Ram beat Auckland and Sam Querrey to also advance to the second round. Sania beat Iroda Tulyaganova in her singles match to advance to the second round in the singles matches.
