Batsman Sachin Tendulkar out for up to three months

Batsman Sachin Tendulkar could be out for up to three months after having a keyhole surgery on his shoulder at a London hospital and is expected to be discharged from hospital in north west London on Tuesday.
Sachin olds the record for most centuries in tests (35) and one-dayers (39) who will miss the upcoming one day series against England being played in India.

Sania Mirza out of the Bangalore Open

Sania Mirza makes an early exit from the Bangalore Open. Sania lost to the France Camille Pin after an early lead, 1-6, 7-5, 6-2. Sania almost had the game won in the second set leading 5-3 but could not close out Camille who played an excellent game and finished the second set 7-2 and then curised to a victory in the third.

Sansation Sania enters the 2nd round of the Bangalore Open with a crushing victory over Germany's Martina Muller. Russian Anastassia Rodionova shocked Bammer by advancing to the 2nd round with a 6-4, 5-7, 6-0 victory.

Sania Mirza moves on in the Bangalore Open

Aiko Nakamura of Japan was knocked out of the inaugural Bangalore Open by Mariya Koryttseva of Ukraine. Sania Mirza is seeded number one for the WTA Tour singles event and will play today, Valetine's Day. The Hyderabadi girl yesterday abruptly left the conference without speaking to the media after launching a limited edition collection of tennis camera phones.

England wins the 3rd test match

England won the 3rd test match India in a decise manner to tie the series at 1-1. India on the last of the match started the day at 18-1 and worked they way to 75-3 at lunch. But then the England bowling took over and India was all out for 100 in about 16 overs. England won by a total of 212 runs and ended a 21-year drought in India.

England set India 313-run target on the forth day of the 3rd test match being played in Mumbai. England scored 191 in their second innings and India was 18 for 1 at close of day 4. Irfan Pathan opened India's second innings due to back spasm problems for Virender Sehwag. India will have to bat out three sessions of play on Wednesday to draw the match or score 295 to win.

India struggling on day 3 of the 3rd test match against England after getting bowled out for 279. England's James Anderson took four wickets to help England bowl out India. Dhoni's was dismissed via a runout after playing Flintoff to mid-on before which he had hit three successive boundaries

India Beats England in 2nd Test Match

India beat England in the 2nd test match played in Mohali to take a 1-0 lead. India won by nine wickets on the final day of the test match. England was all out for 181 on the final morning, with India needing only 144 runs to win. Virender Sehwag scored 76 and Rahul Dravid 42 to lead India to the victory.
