General Motors announced increase in purchase of auto parts from India

04/16/2007:
General Motors announced that it will is looking into increasing it's purchase of auto parts from India. India is projected to grow very fast over the next decade with the generation having the income to purchase cars. Currently GM has a plant in Gujarat state and is currently building a plant in Maharashtra state which will greatly increase it's production. Currently GM markets Corsa, the Chevrolet Optra and Aveo sedans and the Tavera.

Pollution free car to be developed by India's Tata Motors

Pollution free car to be developed by India's Tata Motors along with Moteur Development International of France. The car will be able to run on compressed air and hence will be very very economical and almost totally pollution free.
