Aishwarya Rai And Sir Ben Kingsley In Film Taj

British actor Sir Ben Kingsley well known for his Oscar winning portrayal of Indian independence hero Mohandas Gandhi, has signed former Miss World and Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai to star opposite him in a movie Taj Mahal. Aishwarya will play the role of Queen Mumtaz and Ben Kingsley will play the role of her husband Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the movie titled, Taj (2010) . Kingsley’s wife, Brazilian actress Daniela Lavender will play the role of Persian Princess Kandahari Begum, Shah Jahan’s first wife.

Amitabh Bachchan who is currently in Singapore said that former Miss World and daughter in law, Aishwarya Rai has chest infection and flu-like symptoms is now making a slow recovery. The 66 year old actor is in Singapore to be with his friend and Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh, who underwent medical treatment there. Aishwarya Rai is currently in Ooty, where she is shooting for Mani Ratnam’s film Ravana (2009) with her husband Abhishek Bachchan .

Mattel Toys (India) and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are in the initial negotiating stages for having a series of Barbie Dolls designed on Aishwarya. If the deal is signed, then it would be the first time a Barbie inspired from an Indian actress would hit the market shelves and put Aishwarya in the league of Hollywood celebrities like Elizabeth Taylor, Diana Ross, Beyonce Knowles and Cher for whom such a Barbie has already be designed.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Awarded French Award

The French government has announced that they will give Aishwarya Rai Bachchan the Officer Dan Ordre Des Arts Et Des Lettres (officer of the order of arts and letters), which is the second highest civilian honour given by the French government. But unfortunately, Ash has refused to accept the award at the date and time set by the French government because currently her father's health is not well. Ash would like all of her family to be there when she receives the award. This will also be the second person from Bollywood to receive such an honour. The first person to receive the honour was non other then the King Of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan .

Aishwarya Rai And Rajnikanth Shooting For Enthiram

Shankar’s Robot (Enthiram) (2008) is now Enthiram (2008) (Tamil for Robot). The title of the movie had to be changed since Shahrukh Khan ’s Red Chillies has already registered the movie name Robot with Association of Motion Pictures and TV Programme Producers (AMPTPP) in Mumbai . Now that the name has been resolved, the crew left for the USA last week to start to shot two songs composed by AR Rahman, starting September 8. Other details provided by Producers Ayngaran International Films Pvt Ltd and Eros International include Mary E Vogt will design the futuristic outfits, Stan Winston Studio (USA) will do the animatronics and Yuen Woo Ping is in charge of the stunts. Visual effects (VFX) will be provided by Hollywood companies ILM, Tippet, Cafe EFX and Centro and Menfond based out of Hong Kong. The movie stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajnikanth .
Mary E Vogt has worked on the costume designer of Men in Batman Returns, Black, and Inspector Gadget. Yuen Woo Ping has worked on Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Matrix and Kill Bill. Stan Winston Studio has helped with Predator, Jurassic Park, Pearl Harbor, Iron man, Terminator and I Robot.

During the recent The Unforgettable Tour in Toronto, it was confirmed that the Bollywood star couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan stayed at the Federer Suite in Hilton Toronto from July 16 to July 19. Tennis star Roger Federer had arrived in Toronto for the Rogers Cup and upon his checkin to the Hilton, was denied his favourite suite since it was already allocated to the Bachchans and hence Roger Federer had to spend a night in another suite in the hotel.

The tour is set to being on July 18, 2008 in Toronto followed by performances at Trinidad, Tobago, Houston, Atlantic City, New York, Vancouver, and London. Shankar realizes the benefits the power plant can bring and convincs Sarkar (Amitabh Bachchan), even thou Sarkar is against it at the begining. Then Anita and Shankar travel to villages of Maharashtra to get support from the masses. Things do not go as plan with a lot of shady deals. The matter then becomes a political problem and people want to being down the regime of Sarkar. Movie Review: Directing a sequel to a box office success like Sarkar was is a great challenge and then having your last release, Ram Gopal Varma Ki Agg fail at the box office even adds more pressure to the director. But Ram Gopla Varma has stepped up to the challenge and provides a great sequel, Sarkar Raj. RGV has given us great movies before like Shiva and Satya, but this will top them all. The movie is well written, well acted, and well shot. The movie is powerful and has some great scenes involving the Bachchans like Aish’s first meeting with the Bachchans to explain the power project, to the Bachchans' visit to Dilip Prabhawalkar's residence. As usual Amitabh Bachchan has giving a great performance, with Abhishek Bachchan showing his continues improvement in acting from Yuva to Guru to Sarkar Raj. He has worked hard thru out his career and both father and son will be in the running for some best actor awards this year. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan does delivery a good performance but her acting has not been well utilized by RGV with lack of screen time; given that Aishwarya has had some great performance in the past in movies like Devdas (2002), Provoked (2007), Guru (2007) and Jodha Akbar, Jodhaa Akbar (2008). Jodhaa Akbar banned in Madhya Pradesh

A lot of cinema halls all over the world did not show the movie and now the movie has been banned in Madhya Pradesh by the Madhya Pradesh government. Studio would open his studios to the public to allow them to view the sets that were created for Jodha Akbar (2008) .

Movie Synopsis: Jodhaa Akbar is a love story between the Mughal emperor, Akbar (Hrithik Roshan), and a Rajput princess, Jodhaa (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) during the sixteenth century. With great power and balance of strenght and wit, Emperor Akbar soon extended his empire to extend from Afghanistan to the Bay of Bengal, and from the Himalayas to the Godavari River. And on the way made friends with the Rajputs, the most belligerent Hindus. But unware of the storm that was going to be brought into his life when he married Jodhaa, Rajput princess. Which started Akbar on the new adventure of his life, the adventure of true love. Movie Review: Another great film from Ashutosh, following his previous successful movies like Swades and Lagaan. This is Ashutosh's biggest film so far with a strong star cast, a well written screenplay and great music by the master musician AR Rahman. The movie contains many great scene and interactions between the protagonist couple. Both Hrithik and Aishwarya are perfect for the role Akbar and Jodhaa respectively. This may be the most Some memorable scenes includes the sword fight between the couple, when Akbar catches Jodhaa sight transfixed on his bare torso, then when the emperor tames a wild elephant, one-on-one combat scene in the climax. The film also have been very well shoot by cinematographer Kiran Deohans, which can be seeing in the battle scenes and the visualization of the songs Khwaja mere khwaja and Azeem-o-shaan-shahenshah. There have reports that the movie is not true to history, but if you go and see the movie for a Bollywood love story, then you will be pleasantly surprised. A must see movie for 2008. It's a big budget movie and the elaborate sets, locations and customs’ shows were the money was spent. The movie may be a little long for the current times, but it's a movie that is enjoyable and a worth watch. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan College Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony

Aishwarya Rai In Robot Opposite Rajnikant?

There are talks that Bollywood filmstar Aishwarya Rai may play a role in Shankar’s forthcoming film Robot (2008) opposite South film superstar Rajnikanth . The director Shankar who latest release Sivaji The Boss has created box office records and was recently in Mumbai to talk to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The film Robot is backed by Sony Pictures and is expected to have a budget of 100 crore or more.

Aishwarya Rai In French Film Series

Aishwarya Rai has been signed to appear in the most expensive French film of Asterix and Obelix series, titled Asterix at the Olympic Games with a budget of 93 million dollars. The role being played by Ash is written for her and will also mark the first time a female characters will be in the film. Others that will be in the movie include Gerard Depardieu, Clovis Cornillac, Michael Schumacher, Jean Claude Van Damme and more. Aish other international project currently include The Pink Panther Deux (2009) opposite Steve Martin.
