Today Deepika Padukone has joined the cast of Khelein Gay Hum Jee Jaan Se to star opposite Abhishek Bachchan . The movie is being directed by Ashutosh Gowariker . Just recently Asin Thottumkal stepped out of the movie and now Deepika has stepped in.

Delhi 6 Going To The Oscar?

Delhi 6, Dilli 6 (2008) starring Sonam Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan has been submitted by director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra to the Indian Motion Pictures' Producers Association (IMPPA) to be sent to the Film Federation of India for sending it as India's entry in the Best Foreign Language Film category of the Academy Awards. In order for a film to qualify, it should have been released or should be releasing between October 1, 2008 and September 30, 2009 and should have run for seven consecutive days at least.

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will singing a song for their upcoming movie Ravana (2008) . The song was originally composed by AR Rahman for Mani Ratnam's Lajjo (2007) and was going to be sung by Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor , since Lajjo has now be shelved, Rahman decided to use the song of RGV's Raavana with the vocals provided by Abhishek Bachchan and wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Abhishek Bachchan And Aishwarya Rai Bachchan In Jungles Of Kerala

Abhishek Bachchan and his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are in the jungles of Kerala shooting for Ramayan (Ravana) (2008) directed by Mani Ratnam. Aishwarya is being given high security to hide her look for the movie. Aishwarya is playing the role of Sita. The director is keeping all the cars away from the set and only allows staff to arrive by Jeep. Abhishek is playing the role of Rama and south Indian star Vikram plays the role of Raavan. The film will be made in Hindi and Tamil with Aishwarya playing the role of Sita in both versions.

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will paired in another movie together. This one is a remake of Abhimaan, in which his father, Amitabh Bachchan and mother, Jaya Bhaduri, starred opposite each other. The movie will be made by Rajiv Menon, who have given us movies like Sapnay and the Tamil, Kandukonde Kandukonde. Currently the couple are shooting for Mani Ratnam’s Ramayan (Ravana) (2008) and upon it's completion they will start to work on Dhun (2009) .

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Stays In Toronto

During the recent The Unforgettable Tour in Toronto, it was confirmed that the Bollywood star couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan stayed at the Federer Suite in Hilton Toronto from July 16 to July 19. Tennis star Roger Federer had arrived in Toronto for the Rogers Cup and upon his checkin to the Hilton, was denied his favourite suite since it was already allocated to the Bachchans and hence Roger Federer had to spend a night in another suite in the hotel.

Multiple Releases For Priyanka Chopra In 2008

After a quite 2007, Priyanka Chopra will have many big releases in 2008. The first out of the gate will be a science fiction movies named Love Story 2050 (2008) starring debutant Harman Baweja . Then it will be another superhero science fiction releasing in October 2008, Drona (2008) opposite Abhishek Bachchan . Then it will a movie based on the fashion industry, appropriately named Fashion (2008) , which is scheduled to be released in November 2008. Followed by the release of Dostana (2008) also in November which will be opposite Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham .

The Bachchan's 'Unforgettable' World Tour

The Bachchan's are in preparation for their world tour called Unforgettable Tour, . The tour is set to being on July 18, 2008 in Toronto followed by performances at Trinidad, Tobago, Houston, Atlantic City, New York, Vancouver, and London. Currently Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Amitabh Bachchan are rehearsing the performances at a hall in Juhu, Mumbai . Aishwarya will be performaing the hit 'Dola re..' number from Devdas (2002) with Madhuri Dixit, . The Bachchan family trio will also be performing the famous song 'Kajra re' from the hit movie Bunty Aur Babli (2005) . Others joining the tour include Bollywood actors Preity Zinta, , Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh , choreographer Shiamak Davar and music duo of Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani .

Shilpa Shetty Does An Item Number For Dostana

Shilpa Shetty has shot for an item number on the beach in Miami for the forthcoming movie Dostana (2008) being directed by Tarun Mansukhani. She item number has already been shot in which Shilpa is wearing a bikini. Initially this song was going to be picturized with Priyanka Chopra but she refushed and hence Karan Johar approached Shilpa. The movie stars include Abhishekh Bachchan and John Abraham along with Priyanka Chopra . The movie make be a remake of the 80s classic which starred Amitabh Bachchan , Shatrughan Sinha and Zeenat Aman in the lead role.

Shankar realizes the benefits the power plant can bring and convincs Sarkar (Amitabh Bachchan), even thou Sarkar is against it at the begining. Then Anita and Shankar travel to villages of Maharashtra to get support from the masses. Things do not go as plan with a lot of shady deals. The matter then becomes a political problem and people want to being down the regime of Sarkar. Movie Review: Directing a sequel to a box office success like Sarkar was is a great challenge and then having your last release, Ram Gopal Varma Ki Agg fail at the box office even adds more pressure to the director. But Ram Gopla Varma has stepped up to the challenge and provides a great sequel, Sarkar Raj. RGV has given us great movies before like Shiva and Satya, but this will top them all. The movie is well written, well acted, and well shot. The movie is powerful and has some great scenes involving the Bachchans like Aish’s first meeting with the Bachchans to explain the power project, to the Bachchans' visit to Dilip Prabhawalkar's residence. As usual Amitabh Bachchan has giving a great performance, with Abhishek Bachchan showing his continues improvement in acting from Yuva to Guru to Sarkar Raj. He has worked hard thru out his career and both father and son will be in the running for some best actor awards this year. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan does delivery a good performance but her acting has not been well utilized by RGV with lack of screen time; given that Aishwarya has had some great performance in the past in movies like Devdas (2002), Provoked (2007), Guru (2007) and Jodha Akbar, Jodhaa Akbar (2008). Bollywood Stars In New York

This past weekend Amitabh Bachchan was present at the Lincoln Center to recites poem's written by his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan. Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai were also present at the event.
The following day, Indian's had organized a parade to celebrate India's 60th independence anniversary. Priyanka Chopra was the grand marshal for the parade. Astronaut Sunita Williams, comedian Johnny Lever were also present at the parade that was organized by Federation of Indian Associations (FIA). The parade was held along Madison Avenue from 41st Street to 23th Street in Manhattan.

The Cannes Film Festival, May 16 to May 27

The Cannes Film Festival is currently going on France started on May 16 and will last until May 27. This year will mark the 60th anniversary for the film festival which seems to also coincidentally mark the 60th years for India's Independence. India has eight movies that will be showcased at the festival. The newly wed Abhishek and Aishwarya also were present on day 1 for the being of the festival. Others from the Bollywood film industry included Preity Zinta.

Finally Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Have Tied The Knot

Today in Mumbai, India's fast moving city and financial hub, a small wedding ceremony was held for Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Aishwarya Rai marriage. The ceremony was small, but the bringing togetherness of the two by far was not. Both are well established actors in Bollywood, and Aish is well known worldwide. She has a wax status of her in London's world famous Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum next to her new father-in-law, Amitabh Bachchan, has won the Miss World crown in 1994, has a flower named after, has endorsements with many big companies like Revlon and has worked in many movies with varity of role and success. It is not to say that Abhishek is left behind, he also has found great success with his movies and is making a name for himself in Bollywood. He has to work very hard too fill the shoes of Bollywood's biggest star, his father Amitabh Bachchan .
Today will mark the beginning of a new era for the Bachchan family and for Bollywood movie industry. We all want to wish both Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai the best on their new adventure and wish both families many memorable moments in the future.

As the days to the biggest wedding of the year approaches, there are a lot of speculations about what name will Aishwarya Rai choose upon her marriage to Abhishek Bachchan . Per the Indian tradition, the wife in most cases accepts the lastname of the husband and leaves behind the lastname given by her father. We will have to wait and see what Aishwarya Rai , known throught out the world, will do. Will she chose to keep her name as is? Make Rai her middle name and adopt Abhishek's lastname as hers and be known as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan .

Upon returning from the world premiere of their film Guru in Toronto January 11, 2007 the talked about Bollywood couple, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan , announced that they were engaged on Sunday evening January 14, makar sankranti, one of the most auspicious days in the Hindu calendar. The date of the marriage has not yet been determined. Aishwarya is 33 while Abhishek is 30 have worked together in recent time in a couple of films like Dhoom 2 , Umrao Jaan , and the most recent Guru .
